Academic Background

I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering with a specialization in Haptics from Kyung Hee University in South Korea. My doctoral studies were guided by Professor Seokhee Jeon. Prior to that, I completed a Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Embedded Systems and Computing, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Information Technology, both of which I pursued in India.

Experience

Currently, I am a Research Scientist specializing in haptics and HCI, associated with RF SUNY, University at Albany. I lead innovative projects aimed at revolutionizing K12 science education through the development of wearable haptic devices, surgical medical devices, and more. I've been recognized with the Grenander Award for Non-Animal Methodologies (2023-2024), and my research focuses on cruelty-free approaches and the integration of haptic technology into virtual environments. With extensive postdoctoral experience at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and Kyung Hee University in South Korea, I have spearheaded projects on realistic haptic wearables and immersive VR/AR applications, showcasing my expertise in advancing human-computer interaction through tactile feedback.

As an educator, my knowledge and passion flourished across esteemed institutions in India, including G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Priyadarshini College of Engineering, and more. During my time as a Software Engineer at EnMedia Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore, India, I delved into the dynamic world of software development and testing.

I firmly believe that research is the key to shaping minds, and the future of engineering. By investing in research, we can unlock the potential for groundbreaking innovations that will change the world for the better. Let us work towards this goal together and make a lasting impact on society.
